The Paper Sunrise Necklace

For a girl who has never worn a lot jewelry, I sure can’t get enough of it now. Or at least making it. I confess I’ve only wore my flower bib-statement necklace once. But jewelry is just a real blast to make, and I’ve already justified the almost 2 hours I spent  making this necklace by wearing it twice.  I used my lovely paper beads, and sat down to a good book (ps have you ever been to Librivox?? It’s a real riot).

Mim. HOLY CANOLI. I haven’t been on your website for a while and boy oh boy have you been busy with some amazing projects. Man, I wish I would’ve talked you into making me some hot maternity clothes while I was prego! Congrats on that, by the way! All of your items are so chic and beautiful. I never knew maternity clothes could be that cute– and so inexpensive. Course, I don’t have the serious sewing skills like you to be sewing on all the fabulous knits, etc. and drafting patterns? Wow girl. You have taken crafting to a whole new level! We should chat SOOOON. Good luck with your last few weeks of baby in belly! 🙂

I have to admit I thought your bead tutorial was a little juvenile, like for your daughter or something. It reminded me of projects in elementary school but this neckline is stunning and I just might be making it this week. Great work!

Yeah going to go ahead and say your bead tutorial was NOT juvenile. It was sweet, and this necklace is even sweeter. Love iiiiiit.
