My little family and I are lucky enought to be in the dreamy poor-college-student time of life, and so when occasion calls for some type of gift (weddings, bridal showers, baby showers etc) , I usually come up with some art print as a gift because art is always cool (right??), and it’s a pretty low-budget gift. If you happen to be an unmarried friend or family member of mine–close your eyes. I wouldn’t want you to spoil your big surprise:)
I’ve been wanting to make this print for a while–have you ever heard Andy Griffith do his “Andy and Cleopatra” bit? It’s a knee-slapper for sure, and that’s where I heard this southern saying from. We were just remembering it the other day and laughing, and I had a fantasy that it would look great on my wall. My favorite part, I think, is the ombre-ish color blend–because I’m still on the sharp learning curve of Illustrator, and just graphic design in general, it may or may not have taken me forever to figure out, but in the end it reminds me of grass fading into the sky. Ummm, too abstract? Then it just looks cool.
I pulled a classic-Mim last night and stayed up til like 3:30 finishing my little girlie’s birthday present, a very poofy and magical little princess dress. Her birthday is today, and somehow I let the project go til yesterday. She’s going to love it, (I hope!!!!), but I’m still crossing my fingers as to whether or not it will fit her. It seems a little small–yikes!
Welp, gotta run. I’ve got to bust out a flower birthday cake (I’m RUBBISH at decorating cakes, but I got some help from my very talented cake decorating friend, so we’ll see!) Happy weekend!

Yeah. I love it.
I know an Ernest T Bass quote when I see one. Good job.
OH THAT’S DEEP!
I can’t wait to see her princess dress. I’m sure it turned out fabulous–just like all of your other sewing creations! Hope everything turned out well with the flower cake! Can’t wait to see pics of that too!
I love your prints! I joined the family too early
I can’t wait to see pics of all the things you mentioned!
