Lace face.

A couple months ago a reader emailed me with a question about making headbands with lace. I answered her as best as I could, and mentally logged the idea away. Well, months later my hair is finally at a good headband-stage (thanks to my prenatals), and after rummaging through my headbands and finding nothing to please, I recalled those lace headbands and made a quick project out of them. I made 5, and collectively they took me 15 minutes. I really like how they turned out, but don’t love these photos. But, whatever. You get the idea. I wasn’t having a good headband hair-day today, so no photos of them in my hair.

To make these bad-boys I just measured the lace to go almost round my dome, and then sewed s small 2-3 inch strip of elastic to the gathered edges of the lace.

I have tons of cool projects I’m excited to throw up here, but I have yet to photograph them. Don’t hold you breath or anything, but you can look forward to some photos of the finished prom dress (waiting on my sis to come down so I can doll her up and have a photo-shoot), the perfect-maxi-dress-for-traveling-in + tutorial, some recovered little foam chairs for my kiddies, and that little suit for my boy that I was telling you about. And other stuff. There’s always something cooking over here in my craft-corner-of-love.

Well, have a nice weekend. I’ll be relaxing and spending time with my family watching General Conference and eating good food. Nothing says a good-time like refueling body and soul.

Chaucito.

You already covered your tiny chairs? You already made Merritt’s suit, where do you ever squeeze that much time out of life? You made those head bands in 15 minutes? Turbo. I can’t wait to see them! Speaking of I can’t wait for you to see my couch that YOU taught me how to do and how thankful I am, you’d be so so so so proud of me! Seriously! My camera is broken though :(

I should get into the right spirit of conference….right in the middle of a move and I just want to work and do it! Our home over yonder is looking…so home homey, found a quilt rack that was only 10 dollars, a blessing from doing visiting teaching I am sure because I thought while I am out I’ll take a looky, and an end table for 10 dollars too. And a pretty white dresser for Mill and Haze for 15. Ok so I prayed to help the luck along that I’d find what I needed.

The most amazing thing in this blog is the 15 minute thing–wowsers. The lace is beautiful and I can’t wait to see the real deal on tu cabesa.
